Semen Gresik Attends Sedulur Sikep Samin Klopoduwur Performance in Blora Regency
Rembang, August 6th, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik Rembang Factory strengthens the relationship by attending the grand ruwatan agenda featuring wayangan with the play "Kresna Gugah" from the Samin indigenous people or Sedulur Sikep Samin in Karangpace Hamlet, Klopoduwur Village, Banjarejo District, Blora Regency (5/8).
The wisdom of the grand ruwatan local tradition held is a form of gratitude to God for the blessings given, be it health, safety, or sustenance.
The gathering was held in the pavilion attended by the traditional leader of Sedulur Sikep Samin, Mbah Lasiyo and the head of the Sedulur Sikep Samin association, Mbah Poso, along with hundreds of members. Also present were representatives from PT Semen Gresik, Senior Manager of Communication & CSR, Sulistyono, and his team.
Sulistyono said that the company routinely carries out friendship with the cultural group Sedulur Sikep Samin Klopoduwur. Dialogue with sedulur sikep samin is the company's effort to strengthen the relationship as well as establish synergy with local cultural groups.
"We were welcomed and warmly entertained at the pavilion by Sedulur sikep Samin Klopoduwur. The liquid atmosphere of kinship can be seen from the gathering, by jointly watching the puppet show in the context of the grand ruwatan," he explained.
He added that this gathering activity is a tangible manifestation of the company's commitment to using the principle of stakeholder engagement. Where openness and mutual acceptance between companies and cultural groups regardless of their beliefs.
"The knowledge or teachings echoed by Sedulur Sikep Samin about the importance of protecting nature, are in line with Semen Gresik's development concept which prioritizes environmental sustainability and green industry," said Sulistyono.
